- Friday, May 29th (7:00 pm – 9:00 pm) – Weekend kickoff Welcome Social at Champs North Atherton (1611 N Atherton St, State College, PA 16803). Come start the weekend right with an informal get-together at a State College iconic venue. Spend a couple of hours reintroducing yourself and catching up with classmates while enjoying some light appetizer fare and a cash bar.
- Saturday, May 30th (10:00 am – 11:00 am) A guided tour of the “NEW” and improved State High. Things are looking a little different on Westerly Parkway, and it’s not just a glitch in our memories from 30 years ago. Completing in 2019, our one-time “home” underwent more than a facelift but a total reimagining. Come tour the building and see how things have changed. We will also take a commemorative photo of all alumni in attendance.
- Saturday, May 30th (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm) – The main event at Happy Valley Live (1031 E College Avenue, State College, PA 16801). Another change from the past! This remodeled State College establishment (site of the old Damon’s for those with a 1996 memory) will host our reunion party. Join us for food, drinks, photos, music, raffle giveaways, fun, and new memories to last another 30 years.
Tickets will be $65 per person up until April 30, 2026 (2 tickets will need to be purchased if you are bringing a guest). After April 30th tickets will still be available but will go up to $75 per person up until a couple weeks before the event.
What does my ticket cover?
- Cover at Friday’s (May 29th) Welcome Social at Champs as well as light appetizers will be provided. This will be a cash bar event.
- Saturday morning tour of the new and improved State High building
- Cover at Saturday evening event at Happy Valley Live, heavy appetizers and first two drinks from the cash bar.
Lodging
For those coming in from out of town and looking for a place to stay we have block rooms at the Hampton Inn (provide address) directly behind Happy Valley Live (site of Saturday Night event). Block will be held through April 15th at a discounted rate of $159/night. The block is under “State College Class of 1996” and for the time being there is a block for both Friday and Saturday night. After April 15th prices may go up on the host hotel as our block period will end, so make your reservation today.
Things you should do next
- Buy those tickets (https://forms.gle/TLuSH1H9RBrXVCox7) and reserve your spot at the weekend 30 years in the making.
- Book a Hotel Room if needed. Again, the Hampton Inn near Saturday’s event, has a block of rooms set aside at a reduced rate, but State College has plenty of other hotel options available if you have a preference.
- Complete the Class of 1996 Contact form (https://forms.gle/8cyrwJZwqdHGJoQ68). We want to make sure everyone finds out about this event as well as future opportunities. Complete the form and share with all the ’96ers you can find.
