Kerry Benninghoff '79: be world changersIn 11th grade, Kerry Benninghoff got his first real look at how the government works in Mr. Beiemsderfer's American history class. He learned about the different branches of government, what lobbyists did and, in a nod to his future calling, won the mock election. At the time, serving in the government wasn't on his career list, but it made a huge impression. “I really understood what a great commonwealth we live in, and what a great country we have. Later, when I was a father of five, I wanted to be involved with that.” And, since 1997, that's exactly what he's done.

Generous Donor Support Advancing Memorial Field Project

A recent commitment from a local donor is helping to move the Memorial project along and will include the naming of the plaza area near the entry at Nittany Avenue in his honor.

Plans to modernize the facilities include a new indoor space for team meetings, four new locker room facilities, new restrooms and pedestrian plazas, as well as a concession stand, training room and press box.
