Life changed almost overnight in mid-March. Schools closed, businesses shuttered, families quarantined. Difficult times create challenges, but they also reveal opportunities. During the COVID-19 shutdown community generosity filled urgent needs in State College.

The Mardi Lowry McDonough ’87 Student Opportunity Fund & Grant Program

The State College community lost a wonderful teacher and a dear friend who made a difference in the lives of countless students and her fellow educators. Mardi Lowry McDonough ’87 passed away June 1 following a battle with breast cancer. In partnership with her family, the Education Foundation is honoring her memory.

Update on 2020 Maroon & Gray

While we aren’t certain what the fall will bring, the Education Foundation is exploring new dates and new ideas for this year’s Maroon & Gray Society Banquet. Whatever happens, the Education Foundation is committed to celebrating our 2020 honorees and raising funds for students.
