SCASD has outlined an exciting plan to improve and modernize the facility.

Volunteers with a Vision Have Personal Stake in Foundation’s SuccessThe SCASD Education Foundation brought in $167,810 over the 2017-18 year, a huge jump from the previous year, when the Foundation, still in its infancy, brought in a quarter of that amount. The year before that? The Foundation only brought in a little more than $3k. We spoke with a few of the volunteer, unpaid board members, to understand their passion behind the project, which is finally paying off in huge ways.

SCASD Alum Performs on America's Got Talent

Former SCASD student Heather (Sheridan) Catalena recently performed with the Angel City Chorale on the TV show America’s Got Talent. The group will also be continuing on to the show's semifinals. Heather describes Angel City Chorale as "my happy place." Her father, Peter Sheridan, was also a teacher in the district. Join us in cheering Heather on as she comptes in the semifinals!
